Liquor Store
I found a great source for cigar labels http://www.en.com/users/oldart/label_archive.html Contains both banners and labels. This box is about 4" tall x 6" wide. I cut a shelf for the center from balsa wood and glued it in place. On the bottom shelf, I put lined up liquor bottles. In the 99cents Store, which is DIFFERENT than the Dollar Tree Store, I found magnets that were replicas of liquor bottles. They are pretty large even for a Ken (12.5") doll, but they're on the bottom shelf, so it doesn't look that bad. On the upper shelf, but under the counter, there are four small martini glasses. I found these at Ben Franklin Crafts in the Bridal section. I suppose these are designed for party favors or a decoration on a cake. I included some small coke bottle type bottles. Then made two cigar boxes. These small boxes were made from the balsa wood scraps. I I used Paint Shop Pro 5.0 to resize them the cigar label images. About 142 pixels wide x 75 pixels high. I used brown polymer clay for the cigars. There are a few small bags from the bag pattern I designed: Click here for the Shopping Bag Pattern I had to resize that pattern down.
Used brown grocery bags for the bags. Glued two collapsed bags to the counter
and one opened with some wine bottles (found in a Barbie dish set).
In the cake decorating section of the craft store, I found champagne bottles
that are candles and pulled the wicks out. At the Kitchen store in
the mall, I found a magnet that is a small crate with six wine bottles.
Pried the magnet off with a knife. I made a cigarette stand to go
next to the cash register.
This is just a the front counter essentially of the liquor store, but it's sooooo adorable. |
