Welcome to our "vintage kitchen."   We have vintage glassware from the Depression Era up to the 1960s.  There is a variety of  items in this room.  Some of the items may be different and unique, so we have tried to either describe them carefully and/or include a picture. Enjoy your browsing!

Depression Canisters

This is a pair of large canisters with a "Dutch" decal on each.  The one on the left has a girl, and the one on the right a boy.  Each stands 8" tall and is 6" square.  The decals are in excellent condition for their age.   $85.00 for the pair.

This canister is embossed with the Anchor-Hocking symbol on the bottom.  It stands 8" tall and is 6" square.  The canister is crystal with flower decals on all four sides.  the green lid has a flower decal on it also.  $30.00

This is a single large canister with a "Dutch" decal on each side.  On one side there is a shy girl walking thru the flowers, and on the other a boy with a bouquet behind his back.  The decals show their age - some of each is missing.  Unusual aluminum top with looped handle.  $40.00.

Vintage Cookbooks

These are nice!  These are vintage pamphlets that measure from 4x6 to 6 x 9 1/2.  They have from 20 to 60 pages of recipes.  They include nice pictures of period glass!!   We just enjoy looking through them to identify the glass pieces in the background!!   Some are from manufacturers, some are from .  Ask for details and pictures on any in which you are interested.   $4.95 each.

Door Handles - glass

If you are restoring a house, or just want that "vintage"look to your house, here is just the thing!  These locksets have crystal knobs on one side and painted ones on the other.  You will need to have keys made!!  All were removed from old houses - they are NOT new, but the real thing!  Ask if you would like more pics.

This is a beauty.  It includes brass escutcheons for both the handle and key holes.  The front plate measures 6 5/8" tall!  The body is 4 1/2" tall and 3 1/8" deep.   It weighs 2 lb!  $24.

This small lock has a nice matte black finish, but still has some old, white pint on it.  The body is 3 3/4" tall and 3 1/4" deep.  $19.00

   Left:  Cambridge, green, flat bottom.  $20.00

Melmac with Burlap

This is not glass!  This is Melmac decorate with burlap.  What could be more "retro?"  These are beautiful '60s pieces, and make a nice addition to any summer picnic or pool party.  Crank up the barbeque, clean the pool, and get ready for summer!!

Cereal/Soup/Chili bowls.  These measure 4 1/2" across and almost 3" tall.  Two aqua and two olive.  SOLD!!

Sherbet, footed.  These are cute.  They measure 3 3/4" across and 3 1/2" tall.  We have 3 - all in pink.  $4.00

Tumblers.  These measure 6" tall, and come in pastel colors.  No problems with these.  We have four of these in four different pastel colors.  SOLD!!

Pitcher with lid.  9" tall.  It has a tan color - darker than our picture.   This is a beautiful piece!  $10.00

Ice Bucket.  This measures over 8" tall, and has tan trim - darker than our picture.  It has some cracks in the plastic on the lid and bottom - both on the outside.  The inside is nice!  This is a hard to find piece.  $15.00

Salad Sets

Left:   Crystal fork and spoon, each 8 3/4" long.  Six sided handles.  $24.00 / set.

Dutch Milk Glass Shaker Sets

This is a set of 8 milk glass shakers with a Dutch Motif on the labels.   Seven of the labels are in excellent condition, one is almost gone.  The set includes season salt, allspice, ginger, mustard, cinnamon, cloves, pepper, and nutmeg.  Most of these still have spice in the bottle!!  On Hold!!

Depression mixers

This is a nice mixer.  It is in excellent condition, even the paint and manufacturer's label!   Nicely matched green paint and glass.  The cord needs to be re-attached.   $28.00

We only have the top for this one!  It is a deeper red than in our picture.  Some rust to the chrome.  It would fit a base which measures 4 1/4"deep and 4 1/2" across.  $20.00

Hand mixer - we only have the top for this one also!  Green paint is about 80% intact.  Metal is very nice.  It would fit a base which measures 5"deep and 4 3/4" across - this is a large one, it stands almost 12"tall!  $15.00

Did everyone wear an apron in the good-old-days?  Shouldn't she watch what she is mixing?  Notice the glass (Pyrex?) saucepan.  This pamphlet was printed in 1946.

Gemco Shakers

Salt and Pepper, Oil and Vinegar - This complete set is fired-on red with the original tops.  All have original labels - the salt and pepper have some wear.  Here is your chance for a complete set in one stop!     $40.00

Oil or vinegar bottle (not pictured) - This is the same as the above, but in crystal.  It is a Gemco also.  $5.00

 

Kitchen Storage

For lack of a better term, here are some Depression Era storage containers.  This section includes grease jars, refrigerator jars, loaf pans, etc.  Almost all glassware from this era contains defects from use...but, we have checked these and tried to include a good description.  If you are interested in any of the below pieces, we will detail any "roughness" or "fleas" that we can find - if they are there!   Enjoy looking!

ANCHOR HOCKING Grease (drippings) jar with lid.  This is a nice piece.  It is signed "Vitrock" on the bottom.  It is in excellent condition, even has the label!   The label does, however, show its age!   $24.00 .

1 LB. BUTTER.  This is a nice depression butter.  Embossed "butter on the lid and starburst on the bottom.   Some "fleas" on the corners.  $18.00.

Coffee top.  This is a nice, depression green percolator top.  It has no manufacturer mark.  It will fit a 2 1/4" opening.  SOLD!!

CRISSCROSS by Hazel Atlas.  

Butter, 1 lb.  This is a crystal butter with lid.  Excellent condition. $20.00.

Butter, 1/4 lb.  This is a nice butter with cover.  It is cobalt blue, and may be a reproduction.  It is, however, a beautiful piece for a "blue" kitchen.  $24.00.

Refrigerator bowl, 4" x 8" (see pic).   This is a nice storage bowl.  Only two small "fleas" under the rim of the lid..  $40.00

FRY GLASSWARE.  Fry made the most beautiful "opalescent" glassware!  Why didn't others try to copy it?

Utility jar w/ lid.  This is a nice little utility jar, and it comes complete with the lid.  It has beautiful shine and no scratches.  Looks like a manufacturing flaw, there is no opalescence at the bottom of the bowl.  $45.00.

Rectangular loaf pan, 9 1/2" x 5 1/4".   Nice condition.  Some surface scratches on the bottom from use, but "nice."  $30.00.

Custard cup, 6 oz.  This little beauty has a flared rim.  $10.00.

JADITE by McKee

McKee refrigerator dish, 4" x 8".   Nice frig dish.  Some rim roughness, but a beautiful piece nonetheless.  $24.00.

McKee measuring cup.   This is a 2 cup measuring cup.  There is only one small chip on the rim (about 1/8").  It is harmless.  $24.00.

Drippings bowl, round (see pic).  This is a nice, round, 16 oz. drippings bowl.  Excellent condition, including the decal.  SOLD!!

Measuring cup, 2 cup.  One "broken" mfg. bubble on rim (1/4" - makes it unique) and a faded smudge on sail.  $16.00

Refrigerator dish, 4" x 5" rectangular.   This is a nice little dish, with excellent shine and decal.  Excellent condition.  Picture upon request.  $18.00.

There was a time when...you could by 4 Ships mixing bowls, with lids, for $1.95, or 3 refrigerator dishes with lids for $1.75.  But...that was a long time ago!
