universal mixer & beater

This is a Universal Mixer and Beater.  This was one of the first electric mixers made for kitchen use.   From the looks of it this piece was simply replicated from industrial mixers, but on a smaller scale.  There was nothing fancy about this piece, and it was strictly utilitarian.  It does not have a date on it, but it was produced between 1915 and 1920.  We were fortunate enough to find one in a condition good enough to restore.   The original bottom plate was dark green, and George had no choice but to paint the restored model John Deere Green!!

Enjoy this unique piece. You will not see it very often.
